Manahil Awan

I'm Manahil Rashid Awan and like most of the skilled people on this website, I am a devout knowledge-seeker. I'm usually found at school making some obscure historical or political reference and at home I'm talking my sister's ear off about some Baudrillard piece. I have always attempted to be a teacher of some sorts as well. I have always liked closing arguments on the debate floor, getting up in front of the class or quizzing my bowl teammates on whatever curriculum we're facing (from history to science to random trivia for a televised game-show). I understand how difficult dealing with subjects like Literature, Philosophy or Sociology may be when you think you're a STEM kid or simply do not feel interested. I'm sure divulging with a new friend (like me!) may prove that the likes of Marx, Kant or Shakespeare aren't as difficult to conquer as they seemed initially. And hey, who knows? Perhaps you might have the recreational indulgence to post-modernist works some time down the road (thus leading to a downward spiral of a lot of emotions.).
